My Selig B3 Demo & behind the scenes video

Purchasing the Selig B3 Propellerhead Reason refill was the best purchase I've made in many moons. I was frustrated with the lack of information I could find about it though, the only recorded track here wasn't really they style I was looking for, I don't like a heavy percussive click and I wanted a more overdriven lead style of organ.

It turns out, the Selig B3 refill does all that, and to put it bluntly, anyone who wants killer organ sounds should buy it.

Here's an MP3 of me noodling around on an overdrive blues solo.

Also, below is a video of me reviewing some options and features of Selig B3 that you might find helpful. (I show the distortion/leakage wheels right before the 3 minute mark, two of my favorite features.)

Note: Lots of things went wrong recording this video and I don't have time to do it over... The audio isn't perfectly synced to the video, some of the features I try to show you weren't recorded by Reason as I was recording it, so while I'm showing you a couple of things, you can't hear the difference (but I can, bwa ha ha!)

And finally, some weird glitch happened where my voice was lowered as it was recorded which makes it sound like I'm in the witness protection program. I also just noticed I called Reason "Reasonhead" in the video intro, heh.

So if you can put up with all those things, I hope you find the above video helpful. The bottom line is that with all the presets it comes with and the ability to tweak all of the presets, you can pretty much get whatever organ sound you want.

It's really expressive and plays like an "instrument" instead of just a sound. I have no relationship with the Selig or Baumann, but I don't want you to miss out on getting this, because it's made me very happy. The end.
